Santa's Workshop is located in the City Centre, just past the City Center Market and Deli. Please go to the menu for the hours, special activities, and specifics on when our Black and White Santa will be at the Workshop. The entire experience is free to attend, and please bring your camera to take as many pictures as you would like. We have a number of great photo-backdrops for amazing pictures to remember this holiday season.
Holly Jolly Trolly
A free trolley that travels about downtown and celebrates "jolly"
The Holly Jolly Trolley is free to ride. The trolley starts and finishes at City Hall (241 W. South Street) and it leaves on the hour and half hour. Please go to the menu tab for the hours and "good to know" information. It is important to note that the trolley does fill up and seating is limited to 24 people, so if you are standing at a stop (not at City Hall), it might be too full to pick you up. We apologize for the inconvenience. We are thankful that so many people love the Holly Jolly Trolley.
Who's Behind the Scenes?
It takes special dedication to be Santa Elves. The workshop is managed through KELC Events, also known at Kalamazoo Experiential Learning Center, a nonprofit organization that engages college interns in marketing, public relations and event management. The event team includes a supervisor and college interns who are learning how to manage experiential events that build community, believability, and hands-on experiences. The team, together with Santa and Mrs. Claus create an environment where everyone is an artist, a great letter writer, and a diligent scavenger hunt finder. The team believes that it is through doing that memories are made. That translates into making sure that our guests have has much time as they need to visit with Santa, and to spend as much time as they want just enjoying the spirit of the holidays at Santa’s Workshop.

Thursdays, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Fridays, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays, from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Sundays, from noon to 4:00 p.m.
Become one of Santa's Helpers
Be an Elf for a Day at Santa's Workshop in Downtown Kalamazoo! We need cheerful, festive volunteers to help spread holiday magic. You'll assist with children's activities like craft tables (decorating bags, writing letters to Santa, cookie decorating), supervising the line to see Santa, and setting up/taking down decorations.
Commit a few hours, meet great people, and help create unforgettable holiday memories for Kalamazoo families. Flexible shifts are available!
